The Bible gives us a complete revelation of who God is. Though much can be said, here are four key truths the Bible emphasizes:

1. God is Spirit
God is not limited by a physical body. Jesus said, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). A spirit is not made of flesh and bones (cf. Luke 24:39), and God is infinite, not bound by space or form.

He is eternal and unchanging: “From everlasting to everlasting, thou art God” (Psalm 90:2). “I am the Lord, I change not” (Malachi 3:6).

2. God is a Person
God thinks, feels, speaks, and acts. He is not an impersonal force. “The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy” (Psalm 145:8). He loves, forgives, and desires a relationship with us.

3. God is Holy
God is perfectly pure and righteous. “Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts” (Isaiah 6:3). “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5). Because of His holiness, our sin separates us from Him:
“Your iniquities have separated between you and your God” (Isaiah 59:2). “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Only through Jesus Christ can we be restored to fellowship with God.

4. God is Love
God’s love doesn’t ignore sin—it provides a way to be forgiven. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
God’s holiness demands justice, but His love offers grace through Christ.

You may not understand everything about God—but faith is trusting in what He has revealed. “But without faith it is impossible to please him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Don’t rely on human opinions about God. Trust the clear truth of Scripture—“The entrance of thy words giveth light” (Psalm 119:130).
