HOW DO I KNOW I'M SAVED?

Many struggle with doubt, often because they confuse faith with feeling. But true assurance comes from understanding these three words in the right order:

1. Fact – What God Has Done
The foundation of faith is the fact of the Gospel: Jesus lived, died, and rose again to save us from sin.
“Christ died for our sins… he was buried, and… he rose again the third day” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8).

Salvation is based on what Christ has done, not on our emotions or efforts.

2. Faith – Our Response to the Fact
Faith means trusting and surrendering to Christ. It is more than knowing facts—it is believing with your heart.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).
“The just shall live by faith” (Romans 1:17).

Faith leads to a changed life and obedience:
“I know whom I have believed” (2 Timothy 1:12).

3. Feeling – The Result of Faith
Feelings like peace, joy, or love may follow, but they do not save.
“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law” (Romans 3:28).
“Ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth… see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently” (1 Peter 1:22).

We are not saved by emotion, but by trusting in Christ. The cleansing of the conscience and peace are results, not requirements:
“The blood of Christ… purge your conscience… to serve the living God” (Hebrews 9:14).
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).

Saving Faith Produces Fruit
If you truly believe, your life will reflect it.
“Faith without works is dead” (James 2:26).
“If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
True faith results in a desire to obey and live for God.

In Summary
✅ Fact: Christ died and rose again.
✅ Faith: We trust Him for salvation.
✅ Feeling: Joy, peace, and assurance follow.

Don't seek a feeling—seek Christ. He is enough.
